Description
Few topics generate more controversy among mental health professionals than using the concept of “sex addiction” to address chronically uncontrollable, unethical and/or irresponsible sexual behavior.
This workshop will examine the complex psychological, behavioral and
relational markers that distinguish the “sex addiction” paradigm from other types of problematic sexual behavior.
This workshop will help therapists at all levels of experience improve their ability to understand, assess and respond more skillfully to these challenging situations.

Prescription pill abuse, Synthetic drug use, The unfettered access to violence through music and other media, The common trends of teen and pre-teen use of social media including smart phones to become involved in sexting, bullying, and other dangerous behavior.
